Happy New Year!!

Happy New year to everybody.
I believe 2009 will come with some added wisdom to get through these tough economical times.
I believe God will bless our family as I see last year a blueprint for the year to come. We plan to listen for God's instructions with our ministry downtown.

That aside, our family celebrated the New Year at my brother's house with his in-laws. It was a wonderful relaxed evening. Tasty finger foods. Coconut shrimp, chiptole salsa, pita chips and dip, Jack and Coke, chex mix, a couple rounds of Catch Phrase (guys won), a round of Pictionary (guys won) and my son Jake played, keeping up with us and showing his amazing artistic skills under pressure. He's my boy for sure.
We kept the kids up till 11pm, then put them to bed. We fell asleep to the sounds of M80, guns and whatever else makes loud noises.
New Years morning was text book. We slept in. The kids and I snuggled under new blankets while watching the Rose Parade in HD while sipping coffee. The perfect new years morning.

The rest of the weekend holds: working a half day the next 3 days. Halo 3 with my cousin, poker party with all the boys and a killer date night with my wife as my brother and sister-in-law take the kids over night. YeeHaw!

Happy New Year!!!

We had a few neighbors come by and stayed until 1,30 in the morning. That was really tough as most of us old and retired. The dog hid behind the sofa as we tooted the party horns Jessie had for us all.
