Hello faithful readers. So with the Holiday's behind us, it's time to look ahead to the next mission field to harvest. It's become more apparent to me that we need to look inward. Those that are suffering that are our brothers and sisters. I have one couple in mind and I am praying about how to best address it. With open ears, God will provide the answers. I have learned several things these past few months: God ALWAYS provides, don't put your trust, hope or expectations in man.
I haven't really been a part of what I would call a Life Group. I have always done my own thing. When I am told "I have to be in a Life Group" I tend to do the opposite. It's the inhuman nature in me wanting to go against the grain. I have to park that stupid part of me and just do it. I have been praying that someone like me would step up and lead one that fits me. I guess there is nobody 'like me'. So with lots of prayer, I'm waiting for that nudge, that answer, that open door. I want to and NEED to surround myself by those that challenge me, encourage me, support me, feed off me and most importantly, join me and my efforts to answer God's calling to serve the community His Love.
2009 holds a season of His love. I want to be one of the best tools in His tool box. (yes, I just called myself a tool).

If you're a "tool" Chris, you'd have to be a multi-Tool..like one of God's "leathermen" see..look, you have all these cool features..
Theres teh sawblade, for cutting through the rough crap, you call it a Bible...
Theres the Can-opener, cause success comes in cans, not in cant's. You call it prayer
There's the compass. yeah, it provides direction. You refer to it as something put in your heart..
Heres another cool piece...It's the tweezers, for pickin apart the lil stuff ya know. Im thinking you might refer to this one as a soul.
I see a bright light in your eyes Chris, and hear in in your voice always. I can't imagine the faith and belief you have, but can see the results. You're a Warrior, tried and true brother. Some fight w/guns and bombs, some fight w/hugs and love. I see you comfortable w/a phat SAW 5.56 slayer of those who would come against your God, your family, your friends...And in your other hand, is nothing. It's outstretched, reaching down to pull up those less fortunate, to hug those beaten and bloody, to hand out the present just given you, for you would rather gift than receive. Im proud and happy and extremely lucky to have a friend who can discuss goin fast left all day, and school me on the bible and faith, and still swap lies w/the boi's. YOU are the one to create a lifegroup Chris. If the burden is great, and you are a "buck the system' kind of guy ( Feelin ya on that one) then perhaps, you need to make the place you're comfortable.
I'll be there every week.
