So tonight was a good night at Financial Peace University at the Cables home. We are sad to be losing the Jones as they are moving to Ukiah next Saturday. We will miss them very much. That always seems to be the case with us. We find a new family to bond with and something happens that they have to move away. We know they are obeying their hearts with what God is doing in their lives. They have a tough road ahead of them. I know they could use help loading a moving truck this Saturday June 6th if anybody wants to help. I'll post a reminder here later this week.
So after tonight's video, EVERYONE that had credit cards pulled them out of their wallets and cut up their plastic. They were not planning to do it prior to watching the video. They were all in the right spot in their lives where they were comfortable and ready to destroy their credit cards.

We took the bits and pieces and dropped them through the shredder for good measure.
This lesson has given us valuable insight into financial decisions in our lives.
We have a busy Summer all of a sudden.

Did you save 1 for emergency purposes or to be able to rent a car or check into a hotel? :) -Mike
Emergency purpose?? We have a plan for that. It's called baby step 1.
I think it's assume.
you don't need a credit card for renting a car just enough of a depoist with your bank atm. We have lived without major credit cards for three years! I have two small ones, max 300$ can be cahrged, just to keep up an on going credit report. It is possible to live this way, good for you guys for trying!
